Cone crusher lining structure and materials
(1) Structural features
Shape: Conical sleeve structure, the inner surface is usually designed with wavy, serrated or stepped crushing teeth to improve crushing efficiency.
Installation method: Fixed to the inner wall of the fixed cone by bolts or zinc alloy/epoxy resin casting to ensure stability.
Thickness design: The linings of different types of cone crushers have different thicknesses and can usually be replaced after wear.
(2) Commonly used materials
High manganese steel (Mn13, Mn18) has high toughness and wear resistance, suitable for medium-hard materials such as granite, basalt, and iron ore.
Ultra-high manganese steel (Mn18Cr2) has higher wear resistance and impact resistance, and is suitable for high-hardness, high-abrasive ores.
Alloy steel (Cr-Mo alloy) has high hardness and slightly weaker impact resistance, and is suitable for medium-hard materials.
Composite materials (embedded with carbide) are highly wear-resistant, but the cost is high. Suitable for extremely hard materials (such as quartz sand and diamond ore).
Wear and replacement of cone crusher linings
(1) Common wear forms
Normal wear: Long-term crushing causes the lining surface to gradually become thinner.
Uneven wear: Uneven feeding or entry of metal foreign matter leads to increased local wear.
Breakage or deformation: Overload operation or material problems cause lining cracks.
(2) Replacement standards
Wear thickness exceeds 60%~70% of the original thickness.
Severe cracks or deformations occur on the lining, affecting the crushing effect.
The particle size of the crushed product becomes significantly larger and the output decreases.
(3) Replacement steps
1. Stop the machine and clean the crushing chamber to ensure that there is no residual material.
2. Remove the old cone crusher lining and check whether the inner wall of the fixed cone is damaged.
3. Install the new lining to ensure that it is parallel to the moving cone lining and the gap is uniform.
4. Cast zinc alloy or epoxy resin** (required for some models) to ensure that the lining is stable.
5. Test run to check for abnormal vibration or noise.
The cone crusher liner is the core wear-resistant part of the cone crusher. Its quality, material and installation method directly affect the crushing efficiency and equipment life. Reasonable selection of liner material, standardized installation and regular maintenance can greatly reduce downtime and improve production efficiency.

Cone crusher lining
Cone crusher lining and fixed lining are important components of cone crusher. They are installed on the inner wall of the upper frame (fixed cone) of the crusher and together with the moving cone lining (crushing wall) form the crushing chamber. Its main function is to withstand the extrusion, impact and friction of ore to achieve material crushing.
